MadTree has partnered with some of Ohio’s best coffee roasters to create a unique coffee beer experience. MadTree’s brewers worked side-by-side with coffee roasters from Deeper Roots Coffee (Cincinnati), Phoenix Coffee Co. (Cleveland), Stauf’s Coffee (Columbus), and Boston Stoker Coffee Co. (Dayton). They collaborated to select, roast, and brew the four unique coffees to give each city’s beer a unique flavor. MadTree then packaged one of each in mixed four-packs of 12 oz cans. Each can’s artwork features a rendition of the respective city’s skyline to pay homage to the corresponding roaster.
Here are our upcoming holiday hours:
- Christmas Eve: 11 am - 5 pm
- Christmas Day: Closed
- New Year's Eve: 11 am - 4 pm (Only the outside bar will be open for to-go beer ONLY and then ticketed New Year's Eve party at 8 pm)
- New Year's Day: 11 am - 11 pm
We are proud to introduce a new hard cider exclusively in the Taproom using locally grown apple cider from Beiersdorfer Orchard in Southeast Indiana. This marks the first time the brewery has offered a hard cider and was driven by the desire to create a quality beverage for those with a gluten sensitivity or are looking for a beer alternative.
Wednesday 11/21: 11AM-1AM .. don't forget to fill your growlers!
Thursday 11/22: CLOSED .. enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends
Friday 11/23: 10AM-1AM .. discounted merchandise bundles available
After sharing a couple gin and tonics with friends at Short's, we decided to take brewery collaboration to a whole new level. Similar to a traditional black and tan, each brewery developed a recipe intended to be layered together resulting in the ultimate collaboration and gin and tonic experience.
Chef Arik Messerschmidt shares his Ahi Tune Poke recipe featuring Happy Amber. For more delicious recipes, pick up the Mix & Mash Cookbook in the taproom or online!
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S., to make sure you have a responsible way to get home after a night of drinking at the Taproom. Every Thursday through Sunday during the month of October, customers at the MadTree Taproom will receive a coupon code for 50% off their ride home (up to $5) when they show their Lyft receipt to a bartender.
“Visiting the Taproom for a fresh pint of Lift, or two, is always a great night out and we want to provide a responsible, easy, on-demand way to get home,” said Chris Stokley, MadTree Brewing Taproom GM. “Plus, we get some extra cars off the road and provide an opportunity for local drivers in the community to earn.”
MadTree was recognized in the Extra Special Bitter beer-style category for its Happy Amber. This dry-hopped amber ale combines caramel and biscuit malt flavors in happy equilibrium with late addition American hops. The approachable balance is intentional although the name is a "hoppy accident." There were a total of 72 entries in this category from breweries around the country. Details on the beer, including a recipe to brew it at home, is available on the MadTree website.
