My name is Jason Snell. Designer, illustrator, creative director living in Cincinnati.

I got involved with the Ezzard Charles story while creating Artwork’s 100th mural, the Ezzard Charles Mural on Liberty. Then I partnered with Andrew VanSickle, John Hebenstreit, Kailah Ware and the Cincinnati Parks Foundation to develop the first bronze interactive sculpture of Ezz at Laurel Park, in Cincinnati’s West End. A true neighborhood effort, we’re excited to finally unveil our work this fall at EzzFest.

Being involved with MadTree’s Legendary Lager is incredible. I love Illustrating and designing a story that celebrates our communities and our history — especially showcasing neighborhood heroes like Ezz.

My favorite part of the process is seeing people get excited about all the stories of Ezzard Charles. Heavyweight champ, jazz musician, tailor, community advocate and so much more. I can’t wait for you all to enjoy a MadTree Legendary Lager, check out the can art and keep the story flowing.
